Gallery Koyanagi

Gallery Koyangi was founded in Ginza, Tokyo, in 1995. In 2016, it was renovated and reopened on the ninth floor of the same building, with a new design by Hiroshi Sugimoto. Gallery Koyangi is a primary-market gallery for both Japanese and international contemporary artists, including Hiroshi Sugimoto, Sophie Calle, Marlene Dumas, Christian Marclay, Michaël Borremans, Mark Manders, Thomas Ruff, Yoshihiro Suda, and TABAIMO.

Gallery Koyangi is pleased to present “I saw it, it was yours.,” a solo exhibition by Akiko Hashimoto. The show features 10 new works alongside a large-scale piece depicting a transparent curtain that was included in her solo show “Ask him” at Shiseido Gallery in 2020.
Hashimoto was born in 1988 and received her master’s degree from Musashino Art University in 2015. Her presentation “Ask him” at Shiseido Gallery won the Shiseido Art Egg Award in 2020. She also held a solo exhibition in Paris titled “Will it rain?,” which was the culmination of her residency at Cité Internationale des Arts.
