XYZ collective / THE STEAK HOUSE DOS KOI is an artist-run gallery that was established in 2011 and moved to its current location in Tokyo’s Sugamo district in 2016. The gallery holds both group and solo exhibitions in Japan as well as overseas. The gallery has participated in NADA Miami since 2013 and has also participated in fairs such as Paris Internationale and June in Basel. Recent shows include Yuka Hasegawa’s solo exhibition (2021), Maki Katayama’s solo exhibition (2021), and “Veit Laurent Kurz Curation” (2021).

XYZ collective / THE STEAK HOUSE DOSKOI will host “COBRA with Friends,” a solo exhibition of work by contemporary artist COBRA.
COBRA was born in 1981 in Chiba prefecture. Currently based in Tokyo, he is active as an artist and also runs XYZ collective. Many of his works are self-made videos that comically express ordinary worldly themes. Other works include sculptures of cheese traps, which have been featured in recent exhibitions. Major shows include “life and limbs” at the Swiss Institute (New York City, group show, 2019) and “The Museum” at Fig (Tokyo, solo exhibition, 2019).
