TOKYO HOUSE TOUR
Learn about Tokyo’s built heritage
Leading architect Kazuyo Sejima, cofounder of the Pritzker Prize–winning firm SANAA and director of the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Museum of Art, is collaborating with Art Week Tokyo to organize tours of Tokyo’s built heritage. Small groups will be able to learn about the innovative forms of house architecture that have emerged in Tokyo over the past 70 years through tours of Takamitsu Azuma’s Tower House, built in 1966, and Toyo Ito’s House in Hanakoganei, completed in 1983.
Tours are conducted in Japanese only.
